1. About Lavender Bear

Lavender Bear (ABN 75 690 812 232) is an independent veteran services platform operating at lavenderbear.org. We provide claim preparation support, medical evidence coordination, financial documentation, and transition resources for Australian Defence Force members, veterans, and their families.

Lavender Bear is not a law firm, financial advisory firm, or registered medical practice. We do not provide legal advice, financial advice, or medical advice. All services are preparation, coordination, and documentation support only.

2. Services We Provide

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • DVA and CSC claim file preparation and submission support
  • Coordination with partner medical practitioners for reports
  • Tax documentation support (including Lump Sum E identification)
  • Death Benefit Eligibility Protection — evidence package and, where required, full representation
  • Income validation documentation for mortgage brokers
  • CSC Dependant Pre-Audit documentation
  • Military-to-civilian CV translation (free service)

3. What We Are Not

  • We are not a Registered Loyalty Scheme (RLS) operator or a government body or agency
  • We are not an Australian Financial Services Licensee (AFSL)
  • We are not a registered tax agent
  • We are not a legal practitioner

4. Fees & Payments

Fees for our services are as displayed on our website at the time of engagement. All fees are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

  • DVA claim preparation: Fixed fee, paid upfront. No success fee.
  • CSC claim audit: $160 audit fee upfront. Additional success fee (dependent on case complexity) applies only if your claim is successful, as per a separate written agreement.
  • Death Benefit Eligibility Protection: Fixed report fee, paid upfront. An additional fixed contract fee applies only if you require full representation — where Lavender Bear manages the entire claim process on your behalf.
  • CV Translation: Free of charge.

All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Lavender Bear does not store your payment details.

5. Refund Policy

If you have paid an upfront fee and work has not yet commenced on your file, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of payment. Once work has commenced, refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Success fees are only payable after a successful outcome. If your claim is unsuccessful, no success fee is charged.

6. Your Responsibilities

  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when engaging our services
  • You understand that the outcome of any DVA or CSC claim is determined by the relevant government body, not by Lavender Bear
  • You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose
  • You are responsible for reviewing all documents before they are submitted on your behalf

7. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Lavender Bear does not guarantee any specific outcome for DVA claims, CSC claims, or any other government process. While we prepare the strongest possible file based on our process knowledge, final decisions rest with DVA, CSC, or other relevant authorities.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and service descriptions, is the property of Lavender Bear and may not be reproduced without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Lavender Bear's liability for any loss or damage arising from use of our services is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for decisions made by DVA, CSC, ATO, courts, or any other third party.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at lavenderbear.org/terms.html. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
